Economy - We need to Protect the New Hampshire Advantage

Thanks to our Republican leadership in Concord, we came out of the pandemic better than most States. Now we are challenged by the Biden Administration’s unforced errors of Recession, Inflation, Soaring Energy Costs, Crime, Opioid Deaths, and the Open Border. We need to maintain the New Hampshire Advantage and continue spurring economic growth, less regulations, and low taxes. My opponent has voted for an income tax for family medical leave, I oppose any income or sales tax. Broad Based Taxes are too extreme for New Hampshire.

Energy - “Eat or Heat”

The Biden Administration, by executive order, has regulated our oil and gas industry to the point we are no longer energy independent. They’ve sold the Strategic Petroleum Reserves to buy votes, and now OPEC+ (which includes Russia) is lowering the production of oil up to Two Million Barrels per day. Gas is going up, heating oil is going up, electricity up. We must reverse these executive orders by electing Republicans in the US House and Senate. The Legislature used the excess revenues of the balanced New Hampshire Budget to provide relief to low income families with the largest State Fuel and Electric Assistance ever. The Green New Deal is too extreme for New Hampshire.

Education - Parental Rights and School Choice

I am Pro School Choice, Pro Parental Rights, and Support the Education Freedom Accounts that offer the same education choices to all families, not just the affluent. My children were educated in the Monadnock School District and we played an active roll in their education. We could not afford private schools, but we did pay Sylvan Learning Center to make up for the public schools shortcomings. My wife would see them off in the morning and make sure the homework was complete. I worked early mornings delivering bread so I would be home and save them from being “latchkey kids”. My opponent does not support School Choice for those that can’t afford it. Every child learns differently. Taking away Parental Rights is too extreme for New Hampshire.

Education - Funding

Local Funding allows Local Control. School budgets need more scrutiny, administrative costs are too high. I urge everyone to attend deliberative sessions and school board meetings to see where their money goes. My opponent wants to lower property taxes, but has not proposed any cuts in school board spending. Look to other states that have enacted broad based taxes, property taxes are right back up too. New Hampshire is ranked #16 in total tax burden, New York is #50. I would like him to state for the record he would not vote for a sales tax or income tax. Fiscal Responsibility and a balanced budget gave us a surplus in revenue, all while cutting the Rooms & Meal Tax rate and phasing out the Interest & Dividends Tax. The Democrats voted against $300 Million in Property Tax Relief. The Republican Legislature returned $500 Million to Cities and Towns. Broad based taxes are too extreme for New Hampshire.

Law and Order

I back the blue and will seek accountability from everyone from the criminal to the Judge. Our Police Officers are doing their jobs, but the judicial system has fail them, and us. We need bail reform to hold criminals in jail to prevent them from re-offending. Read the newspaper or watch the evening news, invariably the DUI driver, thief, or drug dealer has a history of the same. Sometimes even out on personal recognizance bond when they re-offend! This has to stop. Our streets are not safe, our children are at risk. Defund the Police is too extreme for New Hampshire.

2A - Constitutional Carry

I support our First Responders, but “when seconds count, they’re still minutes away”. The right to self-defense shall not be infringed. We are entering a dark winter with the open boarder flooding our streets with counterfeit drugs and fentanyl. The addicted commit property crimes to feed their needs. Violent personal crimes will be next. Be prepared. Disarming citizens is too extreme for New Hampshire.
